day eleven - 4.30.09

have a seat: i just love this chair and this pillow, specifically the combination of the two.

day ten - 4.29.09

sushi: ben's first time eating sushi as a pre-teen, at ichibon, of course! (he didn't really use those chopsticks. he just played with them.)

day nine - 4.28.09

goodnight, my 9-year old: ben's last picture as 9-year old

Day 12: The downside of living here

April 30, 2009: I went to the optometrist yesterday and told him about my allergy problems. He gave me some prescription drops to try, so I attempted to wear contacts after a week in glasses. By noon, I looked like Demon Girl. There's a possibility that I may not be able to wear contacts here anymore.

Day 11: Sweeping skyscape

April 29, 2009: Looming clouds frolicked across the Columbia Valley, making light of the vast expanses of sky.

Day 10: Unfortunate

April 28, 2009: This guy was blocking traffic on George Washington Way when I was driving home, blinkers flashing. Can't quite place what's out-of-place? Check out the angle of his back tires. And then look just to the right of the driver's side back tire. Yup, that's the wheel down there. With the axle still attached, but not quite attached to the truck. Poor guy. Perhaps he should reconsider his weekend offroading.

Day 9: Ice cream ending

April 27, 2009: The day began with downed computers (the IT guys were in the building, installing new workstations so the nurses can start to do eCharting) and ended with this... A chocolate truffle blizzard from Dairy Queen.

day eight - 4.27.09

dishes - i was just playing around with composition. i'm still learning about the different settings on my camera.

Day 8: Scrapbook Fever

April 26, 2009: I spent the majority of the day scrapbooking. Aside from captions and embellishments, I am caught up on my life so far, as illustrated by home pictures, ticket stubs, and fantastic paper.

Day 7: Wii

April 25, 2009: I finally bought my Wii. Of course, it didn't come with any games except the original Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and Mario 3, so it's pretty much a paperweight right now, but just wait until I save up the dough for Wii Fit! I'll be rockin'!

day seven - 4.26.09

earth day at the park - ben is quickly becoming a preteen...

day six - 4.25.09

blossoms - the sun was so bright, most of my pictures didn't turn out. i had to do alot of adjustments on this one.

day five - 4.24.09

death cab for cutie - it was a great show, ra ra riot was my favorite, though!

Day 6: Dinosaurs!

April 24, 2009: For my birthday present, Ian took me to see Walking with Dinosaurs, with life-sized puppet dinosaurs. It was incredible! If it ever comes back, I want to go and super-splurge for the really great seats!

Thursday, April 23, 2009

day four - 4.23.09

tea with a friend at coffee social

day three - 4.22.09

through the window: flowering trees make my eyes itch - but they're lovely to look at

day two - 4.21.09

my dinner - expect to see a lot of food :)

day one - 4.20.09

my grains (and beans, too!), slightly touched-up

Day 5: License to...

April 23, 2009: We took the plunge this morning and shelled out the $64 to get the license. Next step: Go before the Justice of the Peace in 3-60 days!

Day 4: Capitol

April 22, 2009: I spent the day lobbying my representatives to find a solution to the nursing home cuts currently on the floor. The cuts equate to about 35 jobs a year that our facility alone would have to get rid of. Considering we have around 100 employees, that would be devastating.

Day 3: Wrong place, wrong time

April 21, 2009: Ian got the flu the morning that I left for Olympia. I'm staying alone in a hotel room with two queen beds while he's at home bowing to the porcelain god.

Day 2: Creature comforts

April 20, 2009: I feed the area strays to compensate for my lack of ability to save the $250 pet deposit.

Day 1: Clean at last!

April 19, 2009: After washing grit into the dishes via the lovely dishwasher, we spent the entire day soaking, scrubbing, and rewashing the dishes. Hopefully, it's done.
